Harrows darts: common questions

Brass, nickel or tungsten darts? Brass is the entry material — affordable, but bulkier for a given weight so darts group less tightly. Tungsten is much denser, allowing a slimmer barrel and closer grouping, and is what most regular players move to. Nickel-silver sits between the two.

What dart weight should a beginner use? 21g to 24g suits most beginners. Heavier darts fly flatter and need less effort; lighter darts require a firmer throw. Weight preference is personal, so starting mid-range and adjusting is the usual advice.

How do I make a bristle board last longer? Rotate the board regularly so the 20 and treble 20 segments are not always taking the same wear, keep points sharp but not needle-sharp, and never soak or wet the board. Compare boards from Winmau and Unicorn.
