Planning & Preparation

A thorough consultation process laid the foundation for the project, with McSport and Body Byrne Gyms aligning on a shared vision for a facility that would meet the demands of a high-performance corporate workforce.

Key Design Considerations:

  • Equipment Excellence: The specification centred on market-leading brands - Hammer Strength for serious strength training and Life Fitness for both strength and cardio - ensuring the facility matched the prestige of the campus it serves.
  • Technology Integration: Life Fitness machines were fitted with SE4 Consoles, providing users with an intuitive, connected workout experience that meets modern expectations in a corporate setting.
  • Performance Zones: The layout was designed to accommodate a broad range of training styles - from structured strength work to cardio and functional training - within a cohesive, premium environment.
  • Brand Identity: Custom branded turf was incorporated to deliver a distinctive, professional aesthetic that ties the space to AIB's brand and culture.

This informed design approach ensured the completed facility met the highest standards of functionality, aesthetics, and user experience.

Installation Process

The McSport installation team carried out a seamlessly orchestrated fit-out to ensure every element was delivered and installed to specification.

Process Steps:

  1. Delivery & Inspection: All equipment was delivered to site, thoroughly inspected, and certified for quality ahead of installation.
  2. Assembly & Placement: Equipment was positioned in accordance with the approved floor plan, with close attention to spacing, safety, and ergonomic flow throughout the facility.
  3. Custom Finishing: A bespoke performance turf installation, reinforcing AIB's brand identity while creating a versatile functional training zone while including a functional performance zone to the layout.
  4. Final Calibration & Handover: Machines were fully adjusted, SE4 Consoles configured and tested, and the overall layout reviewed to ensure a seamless handover to AIB and Body Byrne Gyms.
