At minimum: sterile dressings and plasters, bandages and tape, disposable gloves, scissors, wipes and instant cold packs. Team kits should also carry a bag that is quick to open one-handed on a pitch. Instant cold pack or reusable gel pack — which is better? Instant packs need no freezer, so they are the practical choice for a match bag or away fixture. Reusable HypaGel packs are cheaper per use and can be heated as well as chilled, making them the better option for clubhouse and gym use.
