Horizon covers the home and garage gym end of strength training — racks, benches and complete weight packages priced and sized for a spare room, garage or shed rather than a commercial floor.

McSport Ireland stocks the Horizon range across power racks, benches and home gym kits.

  • Power racks — Horizon Full Power Rack, Half Rack, and a Power Rack with integrated Cable Pulley for lat and row work
  • Squat racks — the standard Horizon Squat Rack and the compact Adonis Squat Rack
  • Adjustable weight bench — flat to incline for pressing, pairs with any rack in the range
  • Complete gym packs — Beginners 50kg, Intermediate 80kg, Advanced 120kg and the 110kg Half Rack Bundle
  • Home Strength Pulley Set — adds cable work to an existing rack setup

Choosing a Horizon setup

The gym packs are the shortcut: rack, bench and matched weight plates in one order, so nothing is missing on day one. Choose 50kg if you are starting out, 80kg if you already train, and 120kg if you expect to progress on squats and deadlifts within the year. See our full garage gym range.

Full power rack or half rack for a home gym?

A full power rack has four uprights and full-length safety bars, which is the safest option for solo lifting to failure. A half rack takes up less depth and suits lower ceilings and tighter garages, but offers less catch coverage.

What weight should a beginner home gym package include?

50kg of plates covers most beginners for the first six to twelve months of pressing and rowing. If you intend to squat and deadlift seriously, start at 80kg or above — buying more plates later usually costs more than buying the right pack once.
