Fitness Mad is a studio and body conditioning specialist covering yoga, pilates, mobility and light resistance — the equipment that fills a studio class rather than a weights floor. Its anti-burst swiss balls and eyeletted mats are standard kit in Irish studios and physiotherapy clinics.

At McSport Ireland we stock the Fitness Mad range for studios, physios and home users building a complete conditioning setup.

  • Swiss balls — anti-burst balls rated to 300kg and 500kg static load
  • Mats and pilates — 10mm core fitness and pilates mats, 9.5mm club aerobic mats with eyelets, double handle pilates rings and soft pilates weights
  • Resistance — 1.3m resistance tubes with handles, squat bands and Studio Pro safety resistance trainers
  • Conditioning and recoveryfoam rollers, Exer-Soft balls in 7in and 9in, neoprene wrist and ankle weights, kettlebells and organic cotton yoga belts

Fitness Mad: common questions

What does anti-burst mean on a swiss ball? An anti-burst ball deflates slowly if punctured rather than exploding, so a user sitting or lying on it lowers gently to the floor. The kg rating (300kg or 500kg) refers to static load, not user weight limit — both are safe for standard use, with 500kg preferred for studio and clinical settings.

Why do studio mats have eyelets? Eyelets let mats hang on a wall rack, which keeps them flat, dry and off the floor between classes. It is the standard format for studios and clubs storing 20 or more mats.

What size swiss ball do I need? Sit on the ball — hips and knees should be at roughly 90 degrees with feet flat. As a guide: 55cm up to 1.65m tall, 65cm for 1.65m to 1.85m, and 75cm above that.
