This pack includes one pair of 5kg and one pair of 10kg rubber radial plates. The open hex bar itself weights 18.5kg. The total weight of this pack is 48.5kg.
One of the main benefits of this pack is its versatility. It allows weightlifters to start with a load of 10kg on each side to warm up for example, and then add the 5kg weight plates for a more intense workout, making it an ideal choice for progressive training. Of course, Hit Fitness radial plates come in various weights, so you can purchase heavier weights as you progress.
The unique shape of the HIT Fitness hex bar can also be used by athletes who suffer from chronic lower back pain when deadlifting with traditional Olympic barbells as hex bars place less of the barbell load on the lower back in comparison to regular barbells. Additionally, hex bars are noted as being more comfortable to deadlift with as users can grip the barbell laterally with a neutral grip.
