The Exer-Soft Ball (7in / 18cm) is a versatile Pilates overball designed for mat Pilates, reformer work, physiotherapy, and general fitness. It introduces controlled instability to exercises, encouraging deeper core engagement, improved balance, and more precise muscle activation.
How it is used
The ball supports or challenges the body depending on placement. Use it under the lower back, knees, hips, or spine for added support, or hold it between the thighs, knees, ankles, or hands to increase activation of specific muscle groups and postural control.
Choosing the right size
- 7 inch (18 cm) – Preferred by many Pilates studios and instructors. Best for targeting smaller muscle groups and fine control work.
- 9 inch and 12 inch – Provide greater surface area and support, making them suitable for larger body areas or users seeking more assistance.
Adjustability and portability
Inflation can be adjusted using the included straw to suit different exercises. A firmer ball increases resistance, while a softer ball provides more support. It can be fully deflated for compact storage or travel.
Safety and durability
The ball is anti-slip for secure handling and anti-burst for added safety. If overloaded, it deflates slowly rather than bursting. Each unit is factory tested to withstand up to 100 kg.
