 Role Description:

The Online Merchandiser will join the eCommerce team in assisting with the management of multiple websites under the McSport brand. You will manage the merchandising of the website, work on the content using SEO best practices, and assist in implementing the McSport promotional calendar.

  • On Site Merchandising & Promotional Calendar
  • Ensure promotional offers are mirrored on the web store
  • Collect & catalogue brand campaign assets & ensure they are reflected onsite.
  • Identify and promote priority products and ensure bestseller visibility across site and categories
  • Ownership over site calendar and updates for Category Landing Pages
  • Working with the procurement team with keeping the stock levels up to date and removal of older products & clearance items.
  • Report on Daily, Weekly and Monthly sales and site performance
  • Responsible for increasing conversion within categories by improving navigation/product information architecture.
  • Perform strategic keyword research and analysis to drive category management and content creation.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to use key tools to consistently provide in-depth data analysis on performance metrics.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure critical timelines are met.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with cross-functional teams and comfortable reporting to different stakeholders
  • The successful candidate will have 3+ years’ in an eCommerce merchandising role.
  • BA or BSc in relevant discipline or equivalent years of related work experience required.
  • Ability to take initiative with a positive, “problem-solving” attitude
  • Intermediate level with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Passionate about the Internet and online retail

Procurement Vacancies

Key Responsibilities -

  • Reporting to the Buyer, you will be responsible for the sales, margin and profit of each category and work to an allocated stock budget.
  • Maintain Supplier Price Files & monitor current deals in place.
  • Assist with Daily Monitoring of Margin, Pricing & Competitor activity.
  • Prepare appropriate reports for daily, weekly and any ad-hoc meetings.
  • Purchase & Sales analysis, promotion analysis & market research on current trends.
  • Assist with management of Online Merchandising.
  • Collating purchasing information to assist with supplier negotiations.
  • Review Supplier service levels & Stock Feeds on a Daily/Weekly basis to assess performance issues and take appropriate action to resolve.
  • Build supplier relationships and ensure that all price files & promotions are received in time for processing.
  • Support Project work as required e.g. Brochure, range rationalisation or any other projects required by the Business.
  • Support buyer with strategy, pricing and market activity, promotions and supply chain.
  • Assist with Stock Forecasting and management of Stock Budget.
  • Assist with Category Range Reviews.
  • Provide Administrative Support to Buyer.


Requirements -

  • Undergraduate or equiva
  • At least two years' experience in a buying role in a similar environment
  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience (Advanced Excel, Power Point & Word).
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Highly organised individual who can prioritise and manage tasks simultaneously, flexible and ability to multitask.
  • Possess speed, accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
  • An ability to analyse data and extract the relevant information required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
