Any good sports team needs training bibs to practice in. There are a few key factors to consider when purchasing sports bibs. These include:

  • Is the fabric machine-washable?
    • Contact sports like hockey, soccer and rugby can get very messy, especially in wintertime when practice fields are muddy. Ideally, you should be able to pop your training bibs in the washing machine after each practice to ensure that the dirt and grime doesn’t set, leaving a permanent stain. Check the labels of the sports bibs you plan to buy to make sure that the fabric is machine-washable

  • Is the fabric durable?
    • Whether the action takes places on the netball court, rugby- or hockey field, at some point there is going to be some tugging, tumbling and skidding. Your sports bibs should be able to hold up against all of this action without tearing or losing its shape. This is why you should invest in bibs that are made from quality fabric that won’t buckle under the first hint of pressure.

  • Is the fabric colour fast?
    • Many sporting events carry on through all kinds of weather, which is why it is important to check that the fabric is colour-fast, and colour won’t run if the bibs are exposed to rain. Check with a friendly in-store sales assistant if you are unsure whether the merchandise you are looking to buy complies with this standard.

  • Are the colours of the fabric eye-catching?
    • Training bibs, in essence, are meant to distinguish the members of one team from those of another. To make sure those you buy serve this important purpose, choose bibs in eye catching colours that will be easily visible in the heat of the game.
