To show you what it takes to accomplish this feat, we have put together a short list of memorable moments in recent hurling history for your enjoyment:
• Eddie Keher's sideline goal: Keher scored a superb goal from the sidelines for Kilkenny in the All-Ireland Hurling final at Croke Park (1972) against Cork, to assist them in achieving another All-Ireland victory.
• Babs Keating's barefoot brilliance: Keating, playing bare foot, makes the telling pass to a teammate who scores to clinch victory for Tipperary in the All-Ireland Hurling final at Croke Park against Kilkenny in 1971.
• Offaly's Famous Five: Offaly scored two goals and five points within the last five minutes of their All-Ireland Hurling final against Limerick at Croke Park in 1994 to snatch an unbelievable victory.
• DJ Carey's magical moment: Assisting to Kilkenny's success in the 2002 All-Ireland Hurling final over Clare, Carey lifted the sliothar on to his hurley and showed tremendous control to balance it, flick it into the air and score a point.
• The fabulous John Fenton: Highly regarded as one of the greatest goals in the history of the sport. During the Munster Hurling semi-final replay in 1987, Fenton struck the ball on the ground from far out and watched it sail in for a goal.
McSport hopes that you will eventually create memorable moments like the ones listed above, so get a training ball today and start rolling down the path of hurling success.
